About Legal Resource Group
Legal Resource Group is a professional recruiting firm specializing in senior administrative management position for large law firms. Since being founded in 1999 by Bob Lang and Ed Wesemann, LRG has grown into the largest recruiter for administrative positions in the United States. Legal Resource Group was designed to be a solution to the problems that law firms consistently experienced in using legal recruiters – exorbitant fees, lack of communications, lack of professionalism, lack of urgency, and meaningless guarantees.
We initially began by undertaking unique lawyer searches for a limited clientele of law firms. Increasingly, our client firms asked us if we would handle searches for senior administrative positions using the same techniques we had brought to legal search. The demand for searches for law firm executives increased to the point where we elected to specialize in these positions and discontinued performing searches for practicing lawyers. Since then, we have become the largest recruiter in the country for senior law firm management searches.
Bob Lang spent the bulk of his career recruiting and managing marketing and business development staff members in a variety of industries, including extensive work with professional services firms. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University and has spent the past 13 years working with law firms.
Ed Wesemann has 25 years of experience as an Executive Director of large law firms ranging from 100 to 550 attorneys. He is the author of over 100 articles and five books including his three most recent books, Looking Tall by Standing Next to Short People and Other Techniques for Managing Law Firms; Creating Dominance: Winning Strategies for Law Firms and The First Great Myth of Legal Management Is That It Exists. He consults and speaks globally on law firm culture and its impact on diversity, recruitment and selection.
Our firm is supported by a staff of professional recruiters with backgrounds in law and human resources.
