Legal Resource Group has been retained by a large national specialty practice, multi-office law firm to seek an experienced law firm executive as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Firm. This is a highly responsible position for a growing firm headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to responsibility for the administrative and financial areas of the firm, the Chief Operating Officer will be actively involved in the formulation of competitive strategy and growth planning.

The Chief Operating Officer will oversee the Firm’s administrative organization including the Departments of Finance, Operations, Information Technology, Marketing, and Professional Development. The position is also responsible for assisting in the operation of the Firm’s 19 offices. The Chief Operating Officer will serve as the primary liaison between the Partners and the administrative organization through the Management Committee.

 

It is expected that the successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of successful experience as a Director of Administration, COO, CEO or Executive Director, including increasingly responsible management of financial reporting, strategic planning, supervision and leadership, presentation skills, use of technology to improve productivity, communication and speed of decision making, and employee management. A bachelor’s degree in business, human resource management, or related field is required, a Masters Degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.   Experience as the principal administrator of a multi-office law firm is strongly preferred.
