Chief Financial Officer - Miami, FL Date Posted: April 10, 2008 Legal Resource Group has been retained by a large Florida, full-service commercial law firm, with 100 attorneys serving domestic and international clients, to seek a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This is an exempt salary senior management position reporting directly to the firm’s Managing Partner & Executive Director. The position is responsible for managing all aspects of the firm’s financial operations. The primary responsibilities of the CFO include:
Strategic and financial analysis and presentation of various performance measurements and reports; i.e. revenue, a/r, budgets, trend analysis, profitability and variance; Responsible for the preparation of the firm's annual operating, capital and cash flow budgets and all forecasts; Oversees the compilation of financial data for partner compensation recommendations and prepares analyses; Responsible for the analysis of data for lateral acquisitions;
Oversees the 401(k) plan as well and the partner retirement plan;
Works closely with the Managing Partner, the Executive Director and each practice group leader and is responsible for the delivery of timely information into the hands of the firm's decision makers; Oversees the finance team, the accounting and collections departments;
Manages relationships with outside accountants and banks; Responsible for approving new business.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or some other appropriate area, a CPA certification and/ MBA would be helpful, but not required. Significant Law Firm experience is strongly preferred.
